Mangesh Adhao

Mangesh Adhao (Project Officer)

Mangesh Adhao has worked on different projects in the social development sector for 7-8 years. Mr. Adhao has worked with ICDS and health departments in various NGOs focussing on malnutrition, maternal and child health, nutrition, and early childhood education. He worked as a block officer for 2 years in the Early Childhood Development Project with UNICEF. At present, he is working as Health Project Officer in the Dahanu block for AROEHAN.

Suryakant Gavit (Project Officer)

Mr. Suryakant Gavit has been part of AROEHAN team for over 6 years. Mr. Gavit graduated from Mumbai University under Bachelor’s of Commerce. He later was an Operation Theater Assistant for 1 year at a private hospital. In 2019, Mr. Gavit joined AROEHAN as Project Community Mobiliser for Mother and Child health and nutrition in our project area. As of June 2023, Mr. Gavit is a Health Project Officer for AROEHAN in Dahanu block.

Sneha Gamre (Project Officer)

Sneha completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai in 2014 and Master’s degree in Rural Development and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2018. Before joining TISS, she worked as Field Investigator with Department of Economics and Public Policy under the guidance of Prof. Neeraj Hatekar and Prof. Sandhya Mhatre on Thane District Human Development Report. After Completion of Master’s degree, she joined as Research Associate with Prof. Ashwini Chhatre of Indian School of Business wherein she worked with Forest Governance Team on Research database on forest products. Sneha started working with AROEHAN in June 2022 where she is responsible for improving health, nutrition, and governance practices. Her area of interest lies in governance, community development, and livelihood promotion.

Tamanna Sayyad

Tamanna Tabassum Sayyad (Project Officer)

Tamanna Tabassum Sayyad holds a Masters in Social Work {MSW} with a specialization in medical and psychiatric social work. For the past 4 years, she has been associated with the Sulochana Thapar Foundation (2-year fellowship with Avantha foundation) in MCHN programs. Her core skill areas include liaison and networking with ICDS, Health Department, and Panchayat Samiti to improve the quality of maternal and child health in tribal and rural communities.
At present, she is associated with AROEHAN as a Project Officer for the Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Project in 45 hamlets in Mokhada Taluka since October 2020.

Bharat Chaudhari

Bharat Chaudhari, Project Officer

Bharat Chaudhari studied Bachelor in Commerce from Mumbai University. He worked three years as an operator at R.T.O Check Post at Dapchari and later as Tax Office Assistant. Bharat worked as Office Assitant at N.A. Maniyar Consulting & Taxation Services at Jawhar and has 5 years of accounting work experience within Palghar District. At present Bharat is Project Officer for Finance & Administration at AROEHAN.

Bhalachandra Salve, Project Officer (Community Development)

Hailing from a remote place in Mokhada, Bhalachandra brings the flavor of tribal life to Mokhada. With a post-graduate degree in Arts, he holds expertise in governance and livelihood. Furthermore, he has experience in holding public hearings. He implements the community development activities at the Dahanu location.

Sujata Ayarkar

Sujata Ayarkar (Project Coordinator)

Sujata has completed her M.A. in social work from the Tata institute of social sciences. She has  joined AROEHAN in September 2022 as a Project Coordinator. Sujata worked with AROEHAN as a project coordinator from 2013-14 on the health project – Addressing Child Mortality in Maharashtra: The First 1000- days tracking of pregnant and breast-feeding mothers. She worked with CEHAT for the last 8 years for strengthening health care response to the survivors of violence against women and children. She has experience in counselling, providing psychosocial support to the survivors of domestic and sexual violence, intervening in the cases, and connecting survivors to the recourses. She conducts training on the issue of Violence against women and children for various organizations, healthcare providers, and counselors. She represented CEHAT at various national and state-level conferences, and trainings and was actively involved in ‘Maharashtra Mahila Hinsamukti Parishad’ as a core team member from CEHAT.

AROEHAN : Pritam Noronha

Pritam Noronha (Operations Manager)

Ms. Pritam Noronha; recently joined AROEHAN as Operations Manager. She has completed her Master’s in Social Work along with the Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methodology from the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan. Alongside has also completed the Post Graduate diploma in counselling psychology from Xavier’s institution of counselling psychology and Post Graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from the Welingkar’s Institute. She has worked as the Research Coordinator for the Research & Development Cell, College of Social Work and as the Programme Officer for the Branch Management Department of Family Planning Association of India, Mumbai Headquarters. She has good experience in research, project implementation, project management, and HR Management. She will be responsible for improving coordination across projects and improving overall operations – programmatic as well as organisational.

Hrishikesh Gadekar

Mr. Hrishikesh Gadekar, Manager (Finance and Administration)

Hrishikesh has graduated in commerce from the University of Mumbai and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting. He comes with expertise in HR, Admin, and Finance domains. He has worked with reputed organizations such as Noma Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, Fourcee Infrastructure. Hrishikesh leads the finance and admin team at AROEHAN.

Pradeep Khairkar

Pradeep Khairkar (Project Manager)

Mr. Pradeep Khairkar holds post-graduation and educational degrees from Mumbai University. He has been working in educational and social sector for the past 25 years. Catering to his studies and interests, Mr. Khairkar has worked for education of the underprivileged, child rights, health, eradicating superstitions, women empowerment, rural development, and social justice in various social organisations in Maharashtra. He has worked on various committees of the Government of Maharashtra and has played an important role in the creation of training modules to be prepared to train the School Management Committees established by the Right to Education Act and has fulfilled the responsibility as a state-level trainer through the government. While working as the joint director and joint secretary of Vidhayak Sansad, he has implemented various educational experiments like VASTISHALA, MUKTSHALAs, BHONGA SCHOOLs, temporary hostels. He has been honored with ‘Mahatma Phule’ and ‘S.G. Varti’ award for his unique work in the field of education.

He has served a member for District Level Child Labour Project Society and Child Labour Action Committee of the Government, ICDS, District Rural Development System, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NABARD, SCERT, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, etc. He has reported and written on social issues in newspapers such as Loksatta, Sakal, Mahanagar, Aaj Dinank and in weeklies of Sadhana and Samyayog.
