Mangesh Adhao

Mangesh Adhao (Project Officer)

Mangesh Adhao has worked on different projects in the social development sector for 7-8 years. Mr. Adhao has worked with ICDS and health departments in various NGOs focussing on malnutrition, maternal and child health, nutrition, and early childhood education. He worked as a block officer for 2 years in the Early Childhood Development Project with UNICEF. At present, he is working as Health Project Officer in the Dahanu block for AROEHAN.

Balaji Pursutkar

Balaji Pursutkar (Project Officer)

Mr. Balaji Parsutkar holds a master’s degree in Social work with a specialization in medical and psychiatric work. For the past 6 years, he has been working in maternal and child nutrition. He has participated in various initiatives affirming positive changes in maternal and child nutrition in tribal areas alongside government departments, semi-government departments, and NGOs.  He has worked closely with Health Department, ICDS department, and other departments for Maternal and Nutrition in Government. Mr. Parsutkar has worked to eradicate malnutrition among children and anaemia in women, prevent home birth deliveries, and initiatives on adolescent health. Catering to his keen interest in child nutrition and maternal health, Balaji has worked in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur in Maharashtra and Kanker district in Chhattisgarh for the same. He worked closely with Gram Panchayat with ICDS Department, Health Department, and Panchayat Department alongside community leaders and representatives to create awareness in communities about maternal and child nutrition in the community.

Krishna Bajare

Krishna Bajare (Project Officer)

Mr. Krishna Balasaheb Bajare has experience of more than 8 years in Health, Nutrition, and Education. He achieved Post Graduation (B.A., B.Ed) at Niphad & Sinner and completed his M.S.W. from the College of Social work, Nashik. Mr. Krishna has led multiple roles in BARTI, Sulochana Thapar Foundation, SATHI, Yuvamitra, and AROEHAN. Mr. Krishna has worked for 2 years on Education, Gram Panchayat, and Government Schemes in Nashik District as Taluka Co-ordinator at BARTI Institute, Pune. He worked in project B-CAN as Project Associate in SATHI Organizations, Pune which was spread out in Pune, Amravati, Nashik, and Thane districts.  He worked in Palghar as a Project Coordinator at YuvaMitra Organization, Nashik.  At present, Mr. Krishna is working as a project officer in MCHNI Project in 50 Villages/padas in AROEHAN At Jawhar.

Sneha Gamre

Sneha Gamre (Project Officer)

Sneha completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai in 2014 and Master’s degree in Rural Development and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2018. Before joining TISS, she worked as Field Investigator with Department of Economics and Public Policy under the guidance of Prof. Neeraj Hatekar and Prof. Sandhya Mhatre on Thane District Human Development Report. After Completion of Master’s degree, she joined as Research Associate with Prof. Ashwini Chhatre of Indian School of Business wherein she worked with Forest Governance Team on Research database on forest products. Sneha started working with AROEHAN in June 2022 where she is responsible for improving health, nutrition, and governance practices. Her area of interest lies in governance, community development, and livelihood promotion.

Ankita Patil

Ankita Patil (Project Officer)

Ankita started working as a frontline worker in Health sector (ASHA) in Dhuktan Village of Palghar District from 2007 to 2017. While working as ASHA worker she was also associated with Saudamini organisation as field executive on HIV prevention program. In the year 2017, she joined AROEHAN and started working on projects related to maternal and child health care. While working in the health sector she completed her graduation degree from Yashwantrao Chavan Open Univeristy, in the year 2021. Ankita rejoined AROEHAN as a Project Officer for our projects in Dahanu in July 2022.

Naitri Patel

Naitri Patel, Project Officer (Communication & Documentation)

Naitri Patel is a postgraduate from Xaviers Institute of Communications, Mumbai. Naitri pursued Communication for Development, a course designed by UNICEF to promote the adoption of positive behaviours, practices and establish new norms including changing negative gender norms. While a long-time writer, Naitri is skilled at photography and UI/UX design. Naitri is an avid blogger for 6 years and is outspoken about gender barriers, LGBTQIA+ issues, feminism, human rights, and the importance of mental health. They are keen on utilising virtual space to effectively generate awareness and sensitise people about often neglected issues. Naitri has worked with the news outlet Republic World and written 699 published articles. As of March 2022, Naitri is the Documentation and Communication Officer at AROEHAN.

Suraj Patil

Suraj Patil (Project Officer)

Suraj Patil holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Dr. B.S.K.K.V. Dapoli and Masters in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai with a specialization in Marketing. He has worked on commercial vegetable production, competitor’s analysis of Agrochemicals, Socio-economic empowerment of tribal communities, marketing of modern agricultural technologies, Supply & Chain management of agricultural produce in his Academics. He had previously worked as Project Officer in Palghar under the Climate-Smart Village Programme (Joint venture of Borlaug Institute of South Asia & Tribal Development Department) for 4 years. At present, he is associated with AROEHAN as a Project Officer in the Livelihood sector in the Mokhada block since February 2021. His interest lies in agriculture & allied business, livelihood development & entrepreneurship development.

At present, she is associated with AROEHAN as a Project Officer for the Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Project in 45 hamlets in Mokhada Taluka since October 2020.

Tamanna Sayyad

Tamanna Tabassum Sayyad (Project Officer)

Tamanna Tabassum Sayyad holds a Masters in Social Work {MSW} with a specialization in medical and psychiatric social work. For the past 4 years, she has been associated with the Sulochana Thapar Foundation (2-year fellowship with Avantha foundation) in MCHN programs. Her core skill areas include liaison and networking with ICDS, Health Department, and Panchayat Samiti to improve the quality of maternal and child health in tribal and rural communities.
At present, she is associated with AROEHAN as a Project Officer for the Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Project in 45 hamlets in Mokhada Taluka since October 2020.

Bharat Chaudhari

Bharat Chaudhari, Project Officer

Bharat Chaudhari studied Bachelor in Commerce from Mumbai University. He worked three years as an operator at R.T.O Check Post at Dapchari and later as Tax Office Assistant. Bharat worked as Office Assitant at N.A. Maniyar Consulting & Taxation Services at Jawhar and has 5 years of accounting work experience within Palghar District. At present Bharat is Project Officer for Finance & Administration at AROEHAN.

Bhalchandra Salve

Bhalachandra Salve, Project Officer (Community Development)

Hailing from a remote place in Mokhada, Bhalachandra brings the flavor of tribal life to Mokhada. With a post-graduate degree in Arts, he holds expertise in governance and livelihood. Furthermore, he has experience in holding public hearings. He implements the community development activities at the Dahanu location.
