Melava for Anganwadi Workers, Palghar
AROEHAN had organized two Melavas for AWW to celebrate the health and nutrition initiative. These programs were attended by 250 AWWs and ICDS supervisors. Deputy CEO, CDPO, Panchayat Samiti and Zilha Parishad members were present for the programme too. Through this event, Anganwadi workers exhibited recipes made from locally available and affordable material yet with nutritious values, few of them also drew Rangoli with messages on good health and a street play on Mother and child health was also enacted. As a gesture to appreciate their work, all the participants were felicitated. This was a fun event for them as they interacted with each other, sang songs, played games and danced on the beats. Apart from this, the program was successful in its intent of providing exposure to the AWW and channelize their skills and creativity towards furthering the agenda of early childhood care.
