
Dr. Amol Sonawane
Dr. Amol Sonawane holds a postgraduate degree in Health Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Leadership. He has over thirteen years of experience in the development sector, with a focus on public health, systems strengthening, and social development. His work has centred on improving access to essential services and strengthening institutions to support inclusive and sustainable development.
Before joining AROEHAN, Dr. Sonawane worked with national and international development organisations, leading diverse large-scale programmes in areas such as health, nutrition, capacity building, and systems strengthening. His experience includes programme strategy, partnerships with multiple stakeholders, and strengthening implementation mechanisms to improve programme effectiveness and scale.
At AROEHAN, he leads the organisation’s efforts to advance integrated development initiatives, focusing on water and livelihoods, education, health and nutrition, and strengthening local governance systems.
